Ted Opitz

I am honoured to represent Etobicoke Centre as your MP. On October 19th, I am asking you to re-elect a strong and stable Conservative majority government. We have fought global economic crisis and Canada has been cited as a model around the world. Countries like Greece show that turning to parties like the Liberals and NDP is a mistake that will cause massive economic hardship.

Etobicoke Centre is my home. I have volunteered countless hours in the community addressing youth at risk and crime prevention. I have campaigned for numerous policies that advance and protect seniors and quality of life for families just like yours.

I am a veteran and have proudly served this country for 33 years retiring as Lieutenant-Colonel. In Bosnia, I served as a member of NATO Stabilization Force (SFOR). I was also a military planner for Pope John Paul II and his World Youth Day visit to Canada in 2002.

I am proud to be a Conservative under Prime Minister Stephen Harper. He has demonstrated strong leadership on the economy, stood up against ISIS terrorism, stood up to aggression for countries like Ukraine, and has cut taxes for families and seniors.

I am proud we are investing in Etobicoke through a $2.6 billion commitment to Smart Track. In 14 years of power, the Liberals never made that kind of investment for Toronto transit.

Justin is just not ready, and we can’t afford Thomas Muclair and the NDP. Please re-elect me so I can continue to represent you in Ottawa and continue to fight for the issues you care about.
